Quantitative Qualitative Estimation (QQE)
A smoothed RSI-family oscillator tuned for cleaner overbought/oversold turns with less whipsaw.
How to read it
LAQQE is a smoothed, RSI-based oscillator (a Laguerre-filtered take on the QQE idea): a fast smoothed RSI line runs alongside a slower trailing line built from its own volatility. The two together filter out the jitter a raw RSI shows around the 50 midline.
Trading signals
The signal is the cross: the fast line crossing above its trailing line is bullish, below bearish — and crossing the 50 midline confirms the regime. Because it's smoothed, its crosses are far cleaner than a raw RSI's, at the cost of a little delay.
Parameters
LAQQE RSI Length is the RSI it's built on; LAQQE Factor controls how wide the trailing line sits from the fast line — a larger factor gives fewer, more deliberate crosses. Shorter RSI length reacts faster but muddies the signal.
